Premature Ejaculation – Causes and Treatment

Ejaculation indicates the release of sperm from the penis during the orgasm. Premature ejaculation (PE) refers to the phenomena in which a man ejaculates earlier than the estimated ejaculation time as compared to a healthy person during sexual intercourse. In this medical condition, the man reaches his orgasm quickly and has no control over it. PE refers to a sexual disorder. The sexual disorder is medical conditions in which the couple is unable to enjoy sexual activity.

  • The pause Squeeze Technique

            In this method, during sexual copulation, if the man feels he is going to ejaculate. Then he should pull out his penis. Then he or his partner squeeze the end of the penis at the point where the head meets the rod for 20 seconds. After that, they can resume this method. It helps 60% to 90% of the man with premature ejaculation.

In this method, if you feel like you are going to have an orgasm, you should stop for some time to let the urge of the climax cool down. Repeat this process 4 times and ejaculate on 5 times. You and your partner must repeat this process 3 times a week to gain full control but keep in mind that it requires the cooperation of both partners.

There are some home remedies for the treatment of PE. Changing your diet or using climax control condoms.

Supplements: Zinc supplement helps a person to build his orgasm. It helps to produce testosterone as well as boosts your libido and energy. But taking an ample amount of zinc supplements may cause vomiting, a metallic taste in the mouth, kidney or stomach problems, diarrhea, and nausea.

Diet: Foods like yogurt, spinach, almond, soybeans, chickpeas, garlic also play a role in your sexual health and help to delay premature ejaculation.

Now a day’s climax control condoms are available in the market to reduce the penis sensitivity. These condoms contain a numbing agent like benzocaine or lidocaine to delay ejaculation.

Premature Ejaculation Medicine 

The US Board of Health does not approve any medications, but there are various medications, tablets, numbing creams, and numbing sprays to delay ejaculation.

Numbing cream contains an agent that can reduce the penis sensitivity and delay climax but keep in mind that cream may cause 

  • Mild pain
  • Mild burning sensation 
  • A temporary loss of sensation
  • Decreased libido 

 A numbing spray can treat PE by desensitizing and decreasing hypertension. The known side effects of the numbing spray are temporary sensitivity loss and decreased libido.

Oral medicine is also used to treat premature ejaculation. Some of the oral medicines are antidepressants, analgesics, and phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors.

Pills like Cialis and Viagra help you to maintain an erection and cause delayed ejaculation. Taking the right dose may take some trial. So, talk with your health care advisor. A person can take medicine daily. Most of the doctors suggest taking medicine 2 to 3 hours before sex.

Application of the numbing cream and spray: Apply on the head of the penis 30 min before the sex washes the penis 5 min before the sex. If the cream or spray is left on the exposed part of the penis, it may cause vaginal numbness.
